My New Songs On Youtube

Hey guys, I have some of my music on my Youtube channel. Lots of songs for encouragement no matter where you are. There are also 3 instrumentals I created for a friend of ours. The instrumentals are in 3 sets, one is just the keys and the other version adds the sound of water in the background. I hope it lifts your spirit and encourages you. The instrumentals are over 20 minutes in length so they are good as background music or meditation. Read the rest of this entry »

Follow Your Dreams

As a child, I wanted to be a singer and to have my own band. I loved music and would sing every chance I got. My voice, however, was not good at all and many let me know about it. My uncle, Roy, was the lead singer in a country western band called the Echos back in the 70’s. I was privileged to get to see them perform on some occasions. One time he invited me to be on the stage in the back and see how it looked from there. To be in the midst of the music being generated was wild. I could actually feel it because it was so loud. This was what I wanted. I saw what it was like from their perspective. Rudy was on the drums and he had a set of those brand new roto-toms. Carlos was on the bass and my uncle was singing and playing rhythm on his guitar. They had a keyboard player, a lead guitar player and I think Jim was on the steel guitar. It was exciting. This Love

This Love! What is this love? How do we find it? When we’re going through things that are tearing our hearts apart, how do we find this love? Broken hearts… Broken relationships… Broken dreams… Hopelessness… I was at that place more times than I want to count and then in 1991 in the depths of despair something changed. I saw something and then what I felt was beyond comprehension. THIS LOVE!

On The Other Side Of The Cross – Music Lyric Video – Joseph James

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I was hoping I’d finish this lyric video in time to encourage all who are going through some tough times and perhaps facing family and friends who might not understand what is going on in your life. ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CROSS, I wrote in 1993 when I was going through some very difficult circumstances and no one around me seemed to understand or get me. ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CROSS!

For the joy set before Him, Jesus endured the cross. It is my prayer that you find the joy in the vision/dream you have so that you can make it through whatever stands in your way to discourage and/or sidetrack you. Abundant blessings… Fly higher…

At A Table For Two

The opportunity arrives and we rush to seize the moment, a romantic date with a special person. The time to meet finally greets us on the clock so rush out the door to meet, our heart pounding with excitement. It is a special dinner at a fancy restaurant with a view of the ocean. We sit down and wait for that special someone to arrive, but the time ticks slowly by… Are they coming? The anticipation grows with each passing moment. Perhaps they have a special reason. AT A TABLE FOR TWO!

I wrote AT A TABLE FOR TWO in 1993 and now was the time to release it. What happens when delay sets into our dreams? Do we give up? Do we still believe? Do we walk away? Or do we wait until we know the truth? I hope you enjoy it. I’ll be performing it live next summer in Orlando at the AMTC SHINE event.

Blessings,

Joseph James

THE CLOWN song by Joseph James

I wrote this song as I was dealing with some things in my life. Some of the people around me were not real. They were wearing masks and pretending to be really loving Christians, but they were just going through the motions obeying a bunch of religious rules. By the time I finished writing the song, I realized that the same could be said for me. Clowns are very interesting characters and can teach us a lot. It is when we truly take off our masks that we truly, really begin to live free. I hope you enjoy the song. THE CLOWNRead the rest of this entry »

THERE IS HOPE song by Joseph James

I wrote this song as the theme song for our JOURNEY TO HOPE! Tour. It speaks about the hope that we have and the things the Lord has written on our books in heaven about our purpose and destiny from Psalm 139. We need to find out the good plans He has for us and stop listening to the voice of our enemy. The Lord is for us and He has a wonderful plan and purpose for our lives. QUESTIONS song by Joseph James

Have you ever asked the Lord a bunch of questions and just didn’t seem to be getting any answers. It seems like we all go through a time or season like this. I had gone through a very traumatic time in my life and I had so many questions with the main one being WHY? One day the Lord answered, but it wasn’t in the way I thought He would. LIVING ON THE EDGE song by Joseph James

Have you ever walked too close to the edge of a cliff up in the mountains and had fear come all over you? I have and sometimes this life of faith is just like that. The Lord tells us to do something before He lets us in on why and what is going to happen when we do. It reminds me of the Indiana Jones movie where Harrison Ford has to walk out in faith over a canyon and then finds the path under his feet. It was there all along, but it wasn’t apparent until he stepped out. LIVING ON THE EDGE… Read the rest of this entry »

DESTINY song by Joseph James

Do we ever stop and think about where we are going in our life? Where is that place, that goal, that finish line? Is it going to be all that we hope it is, or do we even know for sure? Are we just ambling along in life with no sense of direction? I wrote this song to address some things in my life and to share what I’ve found. DESTINY… Read the rest of this entry »

CROSSROADS song by Joseph James

Every once in a while we come to a crossroads in our lives where choices have to be made. Which choice is the best? Which one do we choose though? Do we go the easy way or do we make the difficult decision? As I was writing this song, the Lord gave me an incredible revelation in the midst of it. We’ve been living that way ever since as it has changed our perception of the storms that come our way. A short mp3 music clip is below the lyrics. Crossroads… Read the rest of this entry »
