Life in the Spirit or life in the flesh, we all have a choice to make everyday. It is similar to the glass half empty or half full illustration I used in a previous post. Life in the Spirit is a great place to walk every day, but how does one get there. Does it happen overnight? How can I attain it? Life in the Spirit!

What have you heard about the Lord Jesus Christ? Of all that you have heard, what do you know to be the truth? Why? Have you personally studied His Word or do you believe what you’ve heard someone else say? All of these things matter if you want to live your life in the Spirit. First of all, we can’t live our lives on someone else’s faith. It just doesn’t happen. Ultimately, another human being will fail us. There is only One Who is perfect and only One Who will never leave us and His name is Jesus Christ. We need to get to know Him personally.

What is life in the flesh? This is living according to our own beliefs, standards, others opinions, doctrines, the law and everything else written and expressed by man. Life in the Spirit, on the contrary, is based upon the truth, grace, mercy, love, and all the attributes of Holy Spirit. Life in the Spirit is when we walk on a path that is above the snakeline. Even in the natural, there is a limit to how high of an altitude snakes will live. It is also true in the spirit. Take a journey through the Bible and focus on the lives of the patriarchs, the prophets and the disciples. They operated in a realm that was higher than the standards of the normal people around them.

We can live in a place of total trust and reliance on the truth that the Lord is in control of our lives, if we have surrendered and given Him our lives. We can live like a child does with its parents in total trust, confidence and protection. If we hold back areas of our lives from Him because of fear, these areas are exposed to the enemy. Fear is the opposite of love, because the word says that perfect love casts out all fear. Where we have fear in our lives, we haven’t opened up and let His love come in. The more we become wrapped in His love, the higher the path we walk. When we attain that level of love where we are confident in His ability and desire to protect and love us, there is absolutely nothing the enemy can do to hurt us. We become totally dead to the ways of this world, but totally alive in Him. We can see with His eyes and feel with His heart. Our understanding takes on a different perspective because we start to see things from His view. His ways are higher than ours and His thoughts are too.

I have admitted many times all of the fears I used to walk with because of the things I’ve walked through. It took a long time to get to a place of faith. It took me a long time to come to the realization that Father really loved me and that He wouldn’t ever reject me. Each trial I walked through with Him increased my faith, because it didn’t matter how many turned away from me and rejected me, He stayed by my side and loved me. This is what changed me. This is why I am so compassionate that others experience His love. I know that if they can just get a taste or a glimpse, they won’t stop until they get it all. It will change your life and you’ll never be the same. The emptiness inside will be gone forever and love will take its place.

This is why I write posts, books, music and create the artwork I do. I want everyone to at least have a chance to taste of His goodness, to experience His love and walk down this path called Life. In my opinion, there is nothing greater than to know that we are loved, accepted and that we have a purpose and a destiny. The Lord created us for greatness, why would we want to accept second best.

Come on, reach down inside and with all of your strength and dare to believe. Reach out for your miracle and don’t stop until you get it. It’s yours, don’t let anyone steal it from you with their opinions, doctrines and false teachings. Look for the truth, search for it with all of your heart and you will find it. Do you need a miracle today? Are you so stressed out that you need to get away? What kind of miracle do you need? Are you willing to let the Lord choose the miracle you need? Do you think that He might be able to give you exactly what you need? He has a better vantage point than us. Need A Miracle!

The Lord knows what is going to happen around us in the world today and also in the future. Sometimes the miracles we think we need will only bring us more pain down the road. Parents who have children know that you don’t always give the child what they want because some of the things they want would be harmful, if not fatal to them. The Lord is like this also, however, selfish people sometimes get what they ask for to their detriment, so we need to be careful.

I know of a lot of people who wanted to marry a certain person only to have the marriage end in a divorce in less than a year. Our emotions can lie to us, especially where love is concerned. Some people want to have a lot of money and become so greedy they miss out on the life around them. They end up all alone and totally empty inside. Be careful what you pray for.

I used to pray for just big miracles and then I started noticing the little miracles that were happening everyday. There were a lot of situations happening that were perfect timing. Being at the right place at the right time was an amazing thing. Finding the right parking place in a crowded parking lot was really a blessing. Meeting someone for the first time that seemed like you knew them your whole life is an exceptional blessing. Meeting the person the Lord has for you to marry is one of the greatest miracles. Getting a new idea and then turning it into a Kingdom business is also a wonderful thing. With all of this, as wonderful as it is, it is only the beginning. With every miracle comes the responsibility to walk it out.

I now live a life of miracles. I used to look for the big ones, but now I enjoy the small ones. When I meet new people, I wonder, “Lord, what do you have for them today? Why did you put this together? Is there something special going to come from this?” and then I go on. If something happens from it, great and if not, maybe something will happen later. I marvel at God’s creation. I love to look at the sunrises and sunsets. I like to see the clouds from an airplane. I like waterfalls and the sounds of the ocean. I like to look at the mountains and see the Lord and His majesty. Man in all of his abilities has nothing on creation.

I have said all of this to simply say, ask Him for your miracles, thank Him for them in advance, and then eagerly expect to see what He will do. Keep in mind that “no” is also an answer. It is all about you. As you go throughout your day, look around you and see what is happening. Are there others who need your help or just a smile? Brighten someone else’s day and yours will be brighter too. Enjoy your life and expect miracles each day. Give your life to Jesus Christ and experience the greatest miracle in life. He cares for you. He loves you. He gave His life for us, can we expect to do any less for Him?

As I read the comments sent personally to me from people all over the world, I realize more and more how many are hurting, broken and torn. Our world is going through so many changes as we go from individual economies to a world economy. Everything is changing and it is causing so much fear and panic. This fear and panic is ripping into the core of families and relationships and causing many casualties emotionally. Where do we turn? Who has the answers? Who really cares? Is it every person for themselves? Hurting People!

I am one of the fortunate, I know someone Who helps me everyday. He is closer than my brother and I can share all of my problems with Him. He won’t ever leave me and it is He who calms my fears, fills me with His love, and leads me down the path of life. My purpose and destiny are in His hands and they are secure. The good news is that you can know Him too. He can have the same relationship with you that He has with me. It is your choice.

I’m sure you’ve heard all kinds of stories about Him. Some are probably true and others aren’t. Some stories are well-intentioned, while others want to keep you away from Him. The only thing that really matters is whether or not you want to know the truth. There are many different denominations and different groups proclaiming they know Jesus Christ. Some really do have a personal relationship with Him and some are just living in intellectual religious knowledge and not understanding that there is more to it. So how can you find the truth? How can you know that what you believe is the truth? The best way is to search for it with ALL of your heart. Don’t hold so tightly to any of your opinions in your quest. Find a Bible and start reading it. I suggest you start with the gospels, Psalms and Proverbs. If you don’t have one, go to this web site: BibleGateway.com

My walk with the Lord began with one step at a time. It was similar to the way of meeting a girl, dating, and eventually marriage. What I mean by this is that it really takes time to get to know someone. How do you really know someone if the relationship is never put to the test? It is during these times you find out who you are and who they are. I’ve been through some really tough stuff and each situation helped me know Him better. He never left me, even when it was my fault. There was a time when He was the only one who stood by me.

We all have choices to make. We can choose whether we want to trust others just like us or the One who created us. His word is true. His promises come true. He will have His way and it is good. If you want wisdom, ask for it. It is the same for true love, forgiveness, mercy, peace, gentleness, tenderness, healing, salvation.

One of my favorite stories is about Ezekiel in Chapter 47. Ezekiel was led into a river and as he walked it got deeper and deeper until it carried him. It was the river of the Lord. This is such a great picture of our walk with Him. We can walk with Him on the shore and never get our feet wet. There are a lot of people who do this. They are afraid to let go and let Him take care of them, they are usually so independent. Then there are those who go in up to their ankles and they experience a shallow relationship. There are others who go in up to their knees. They might not be able to see the bottom anymore, which may mean they are unsure of their next steps. Some go in up to their waist and they begin to lose their footing sometimes due to the current, but they also begin to enjoy its coolness and its refreshing touches. Then there are those who launch out into the deep and are carried by the current, helpless but to go where it takes them. These are those who experience the fullness of the Lord. He is their sole provider and helper. If He doesn’t come through, it’s over. These are the ones who experience the depths of His love, the bigger miracles, they see things others don’t get to see because these things can only be seen in the deep waters of the river.

How deep do you want to go? It is your choice. You can always go back to the shore where everything seems to be safe and your feet are on solid ground. What is it you really want? Would you like to find your destiny and purpose? Would you like to know why you were created? Would you like to wake up every day doing the very thing that brings fulfillment to you? Again, it’s your choice. If you choose to never try it, don’t knock someone else who does. Be brave, overcome the fear and at least give it a shot. What do you have to lose except for fear and your pride? What are they doing for you anyway?

What would it take for you to decide to take a new journey today? I can tell you story after story, but if you never take the steps, it doesn’t matter anyway. At the end of our lives, it doesn’t matter what others did to us or how they didn’t help, what matters is what choices we made. It doesn’t matter what time in history and what country we live in, the Lord doesn’t make mistakes. His plan for us starts with where we are now. He has a way to bring us through anything we are going through, but we have to make the choice to trust Him and let Him lead us the way He wants without judging the journey until we make it to the end. We are responsible for our own lives. The Lord is fully capable of creating miracles and changing our lives, but if we don’t give Him the authority and a chance, He can’t. He gave us the freedom of choice. The choice is ours. His hands are tied until we choose.

My choice to ask His forgiveness for all my sins, to lay down my will and choose His, to bow my knee to Him and humbly ask for His help was the best choice I’ll ever make. I have never regretted this decision. It has been a difficult journey, it hasn’t been easy, but its been worth every bit of the journey. I know Him now, and the good news is that you can too. Dare to go out into the deep waters of the river of life and experience His love for you. He cares and He loves you so much more than you can imagine. Let today be the first day of the rest of your life. Let His love cleanse you from all sin. Let Him heal your heart and your body. Invite Him into your heart and you will know that He is real. The emptiness inside will be replaced with His love. Go for it, what do you have to lose that really matters much anyway? This is the greatest of all miracles.

In each country there are problems. The scenery is different, but people are still people. Each of our problems are unique and strangely similar to others. In desiring to live a good life we all struggle with opposing forces around us. Some live in the midst of war and battle while others live safe and secure. Each has their own problems to face. What will we do? How will we overcome? Courage To Succeed!

I realize that these posts are read in 24 different countries as of now and I will be adding a translator program to convert them to 10 different languages soon. How can I write something applicable to all who are reading? I live in the United States of America. We are loved by some and hated by others. Some say we are spoiled and greedy. Others call us names we won’t mention. If we are going to find our way in this world, we need to see beyond our differences. The Lord doesn’t see our country boundaries like we do. He sees people. His church includes people of all countries. He loves us all. We are His body and He wants us all to be joined together in His purpose. We must see beyond the veils of the flesh and into the heart. We all hurt. We all love. We all have passion and a desire to make a difference. I want to be a catalyst to help bring a spark to each and every heart that says, “Get up. You can do it. You can make it. You are not alone.” Scripture says that we have a great cloud of witnesses that has gone on before us, men and women of faith.

How can we encourage each other? I believe we can encourage each other even in the little things. We can pray for each other. We can share our stories. We can tell each other that tomorrow is a new day and it hasn’t been created yet. We can watch the sunrises and sunsets and know that the Lord is painting the sky just for us. We can hear the wind in the trees and know the trees are praising the Lord. We can hear the songs of the birds and know they are too. All of creation is waiting for the Lord’s people to take their rightful place. It doesn’t matter what country you live in, or what language you speak, if you are His then we are brothers and sisters. We are not alone. Your life matters and you can make a difference.

What is on your heart? What is your destiny? Do you know why you were created? Have you heard the Lord tell you what He wants you to do with your life? If not, why not? Have you asked Him? Some are called to bring about a change to their whole country. Some are called to simply walk each day. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or not done up to this point in our life. The Lord can wipe everything clean and we can start afresh. If you want to have the most amazing life there is, follow Jesus. Everyday can be an adventure. Life to me is new everyday. Each day I wake up and wonder what is going to happen. Who will I meet? What will I say? Will I meet a new friend? No matter what the challenge is, I eagerly wait in expectation to see how it will unfold. If you’re on the battlefield, can you see His wonders in the sky or somewhere around you? No matter what circumstance you find yourself in, ask Him to show you who He is. I was in London, England during the destruction of the World Trade Centers in New York. Aircraft to the US were grounded for weeks. I’d look out of my hotel window and I’d see these really short rainbows on the clouds. It made me feel like the Lord was holding me in His hands. I was over 5,000 miles from home, but I was at home in His love. Over the years, He has become more real to me than even my wife and children. Flesh and blood may fail me, but He never has and never will. Every time we are faced with a challenge and He comes through, it makes my faith in Him grow in leaps and bounds. I never knew my earthly father because he left when I was three. My heavenly Father knows me and loves me so much more than I can imagine and I love Him so deeply. I know that I am not perfect and have made and continue to make so many mistakes and then I have to realize that if He would have wanted me to be perfect, He would have made me a robot. He wants my love. I want His. His love is so awesome, so perfect, so complete, no wonder when someone finds it, they lay down their desires to fulfill His.

I could write books about my life and all the fears and obstacles I’ve faced. I’ve gone through three divorces with my mom, two personally and have now been married for thirteen years. My wife has gone through a traumatic injury on a printing press. Her thumb got caught in the rollers and it pulled her in to her arm pit, degloving her flesh and muscle. The doctors told her they would have to amputate but she refused. She has use of it today. She was in and out of mental institutions for seven years because of the trauma and finally the doctors gave up on her because they said the nerves in her brain were short circuiting because the mylon sheathing was deteriorating. Someone didn’t give up on her. The Lord lifted her up, out of the pit and totally healed her. There is a lot more to this story, but I wanted to share some of it to help encourage you. We all have our problems. We all have our ghosts and things we fear. We each have our own path to walk. We have been given the choice to choose life or death. We alone are responsible for our own choice. We have the privilege of helping others achieve their destiny. I hope I can somehow encourage you to go beyond where you are. Reach out beyond the pain and find healing, wholeness and the love of the Lord.

There are many ways to reach out to those around us. I chose to use the web because I know there are those who won’t go inside a church building but will venture out on the web. Fear separates us from others, but love brings us back. How do we find the help we need? It is closer than we think. The Lord loves you. Let Him.

Do you want to live in the miraculous? You can. It isn’t that difficult. You just have to be in a place where you need them. Still want to go there? Interesting decision.

Over the years I have talked to a lot of people who have wanted to live in the miraculous and see miracles. Most of them have no idea what they are asking for though. Have you ever stopped to think that the only time a miracle is granted is the time a miracle is actually needed. Of course it is nice to have one when you need it.

My family has experienced many miracles over the years and it is great to live in the miraculous, but it can also be stressful. Have you ever needed a miracle to happen for your next meal? Were you ever stranded out in the middle of nowhere, vehicle not running, and no money to repair it? What about a desperate need to get somewhere in half the time it is going to take you to drive it? Once you realize what you may have to go through to live in the miraculous, it might not look that appealing anymore.

The miraculous is an awesome place to live and walk. It is really the only realm to walk in. The Lord gets the glory and only He deserves it anyway. If we have all the money we need or want, then what good is a miracle if we can buy whatever we need. What about health problems? Do you spend all of your money on your health or do you choose to opt for a miracle? If you have the money, do you also have the faith for a miracle? If you don’t have the money, do you have the faith for a miracle? Can you see where this is going?

Look at all of the miracles in the Bible. They only happened when they were needed. Father loves to show off for His children. He will again and again. He cares for you and He cares for me. He is supernatural. He is by nature, miraculous. Choose to walk with Him. Choose to live your life to the full. Let Him help you become the person He created you to be.
