Are You Safe
February 8th, 2010 at 12:35 pm (Encouragement)
Are you safe? Can others come to you for help? Can they get the support they need? Can you be a friend that overlooks others weaknesses for the sake of love? Are you critical? Are you free? Are you bound? Are You Safe?
People need a safe place to go to in their lives now more than ever before. When the news media believe that it is their calling to go after a story until they totally destroy the individuals they are writing about, something needs to change. In a society that is ruled by bringing others down, who will stand up and be a safe haven for others so that the Lord’s healing might flow?
Many are the issues in our world, but most are born out of greed, lust, envy and the quest for power. We even see it in the so-called church, competition between churches over who has the biggest crowds. There are people (churches) who have a form of godliness but deny His power. Scripture says to have nothing to do with them. 2Timothy 3:5 Does Jesus care about the numbers? I think not! He cares about people. He cares about His Kingdom!
What is the motive behind what we do? Is it love, or is it selfishness? Is it religion, with a form or rules and regulations, or is it Kingdom?
We don’t need more rules and regulations, we have too many in our government now and all the lawyers do is find a way around them. The innocent are penalized and the perpetrators go free. (Not all, but you know what I am talking about.) Where is justice? The law was never meant to rule over us, but rather we were destined to walk in His love, which fulfills all of the law. If we walk in His love we don’t need to worry about obeying the law, because it is the natural response of love. This is total freedom. (Romans 8:2)
How is your barometer? When others see you in a grocery store, are you safe to be near? When you are driving down the road, are you safe to be around? When you are at home, is your family safe to be near you? When you are in a group, are you safe for others to get close? When you are in a fellowship meeting, are you safe? How many people do you know who are safe? How do you rate yourself? How does the Lord rate you? Need more of His love? Ask!
If it is our goal to help those around us to see a better way, then we must become a safe haven for them. They need to be able to get things off of their chest without being condemned. We need to become good listeners to hear what they are really saying behind their wall of hurt and bleeding in their heart. A father can see beyond his child’s reactions and see the state of his heart. Can you? Are you willing to go there? We live in a push button society, but some things like healing still take time. Do you have the time it will take? Will you love first instead of judge first?
Luke 10:2 “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.” There are people all around us that need to hear the Good News. Everyone needs encouragement. Everyone needs true love from the Lord. Who will go? Who will share His love and freedom with a lost and dying world? Who will reach out to those around them and be His example of Love.
We were in a restaurant this morning and Jaan noticed a lady sitting nearby that was counting her change and seemed to be distraught that she didn’t have enough. We decided to give her some money and Jaan took it over to her. It seemed she got embarrassed and she refused it. She finished eating quickly and left. We all got blessed. The lady got blessed because we sowed the seed of love and we also prayed for her. We know that others will be sent to her to water it. Someone else will reap the harvest when this seed of love breaks down the walls in her life. Another soul will be added to the Kingdom and will receive the gift of Life. We are blessed because we have been honored with knowing we gave what we could knowing that it was not in vain. We can’t always see what is behind the walls but the Lord knows.
There are a lot of people going through a lot of things and they just need someone to walk with. If some of them just receive a little help and rest, they can get back on track and also help others. Can we give a little more? It might be as simple as wearing a smile on our face to brighten someones day. It might be a simple word of encouragement or even a short prayer. You cannot out give the Lord in this place. He will pour more back in than you can imagine, more love, more encouragement, more help, etc. Care about His Kingdom and He will take care of you? I dare you! I continue to challenge myself to do this more and more everyday. Let us encourage each other as we journey down this path of life! Are You Safe?
If you need help and there is no one around, look again and see if there is someone you can help. It might be that the help you need will come from someone who is in need. You both can be blessed. If you don’t know the Lord, get to know Him. Ask Him to make Himself real to you. You can read my book, “Destiny Path Of Life: The Journey Begins,” that illustrates the different paths in life in an allegory fashion. It is available to read free on the web site or to purchase in print. Start reading the Bible. Ask the Lord to make His words life to you. I am writing Jaan’s biography, “Sentenced To Death, Destined For Life.” It is all about her miraculous journey from her death bed back to a glorious and overcoming life. You can get a glimpse of it by reading this post, “Change My Mind or Change My Body“. I am also writing a novel concerning the Lord’s Kingdom and the new move that is coming. The name of the novel is, “Islands In The Sea!” and will hopefully be available soon. You can even vote on one of the covers if you like or add a comment to what you would like to see on the cover. Please know that this site is changing as we walk further into the purposes of the Lord and as more of us are linked together. You can subscribe to receive these posts by email at the left of this post. Keep your mind focused on Him, the giver of all good things. May He pour out on you His blessings, grace, peace, prosperity, love and everything else that you need. May your life be overflowing with His anointing and presence.
