Creating Jobs

How is your job situation right now? Do you have a job? Even if you have a job, is it what turns you on? Do you feel like you are stuck in a rut and there is no way to get out? There is hope. Creating Jobs!

I am writing this post to encourage you. I am also writing from experience. As I have walked with the Lord, He has created jobs for me. They literally did not exist and then a while later it was there. They weren’t always what I expected, nor necessarily what I liked at first, but it was all about the relationships with others. Most of these jobs are now gone, but the friendships that developed have been great. You really get to know someone when you work with them.

I strive for excellence in whatever it is I am doing. I choose to promote peace. I want the other person to get more out of the relationship than myself. Of course, the other side to that is watching out that it doesn’t become a bad situation. In those cases, I can always walk away.

The interesting thing about living this way is that you develop a lot of different skills, depending on the people you are around and the skills that are necessary to do the job. Sometimes you get on the job training and other times you are able to increase the skills you already have. This is especially valuable in today’s economy.

So, if you find yourself in this situation, ask the Lord what He would have you to do. It might be volunteering some of your time to help at a charity or church organization. Once others see who you are and your skills it can open the door to something else. It all comes back to giving.

If you don’t like where you are, decide to make a choice to change. Instead of thinking about yourself, find out how you can help someone else. You will be surprised at all of the opportunities that are available. You might also be surprised at how you will feel inside. What happens when you simply smile at someone and they smile back? It touches you and it makes you feel good, doesn’t it? Even if you have to smile at 100 people before someone smiles back, it is worth it.

Dare to make this new year your best ever. Don’t make a vow or resolution. Simply make a choice to let the Lord guide you and ask Him for His grace to help you accomplish it. He will!

Have a great new year. If you would like to know more about Him, just check out my other posts.
