Just Keep Walking

Have you ever fallen down in your soul? Have you ever gotten so tired you just don’t want to keep going? Does the path ahead look like there is no way through? Have you lost sight of your goal or dream? I have been through all of these and it seems like the journey has come to an end. Just Keep Walking!
I have noticed that some of the times this happened over the years was because there was going to be a change in direction or maybe even a slight adjustment. I also noticed that if this dilemma had not have gotten my attention, I would not have been ready for the change. I might have even gone on with my life oblivious to the fact that there was a change and a better way. The Lord knows how each of us responds or reacts to the things around us. He doesn’t treat us the same as He does others. He cares way too much for us to do that. He knows what we need and He wants us to have the very best. He doesn’t like to see us hurt.
If you find yourself in one of these situations today and know of someone else who is, take courage, you both are in a good place. Change is coming so be ready. Lift up your head and look to the One who loves you more than you can imagine. Listen for His voice and do what He tells you to do. It is the still quiet voice, the one that brings peace to your soul.
If you’ve been in a bad relationship and now it is at an end. If you’ve had a good relationship and it has somehow broken apart. If the job you had has suddenly gone away. If the friend you loved has turned on you. If the dream you believed in has been shattered. If your family doesn’t understand and they are all against you. If you are broke, without a home, and no where to turn. If you’ve tried and tried and nothing works. Whatever it is, my friend, it will pass. The storm will pass over. The sun will shine again.
I have gone through some terrible storms in my life. Some were because of my foolishness and others just happened to me. As I look back in retrospect, I can see that it was these storms that actually saved my life. The motorcycle wreck, where I miraculously survived with only a few broken bones, was a turning point in my life that put me on a different path. Sometimes it takes these types of things to get our attention. Blessed are those who can take a tragedy or storm, not judge the situation wrongly, but discern it correctly and walk into the blessings the Lord has for them.
It is easy to give up. It is easy to judge wrongly and walk in bitterness. It is easy to strike out in anger and frustration and lose your soul in the process. I see people all of the time walking out their own judments. They took things personally that had nothing to do with them. Sometimes things just happen. Sometimes people make bad decisions without thinking that causes hurt to someone else. Were they trying to hurt that person? No! That person just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. What matters is how the victim responds? Will they forgive and go on with their life or will they hold on to bitterness and lose everything that is dear and precious to them? It is their choice. Bad things happen to everyone, but it is how we respond that either helps us to continue down a better path in life, or continue down a path that leads to eternal death.
I hope this helps you today. I have other posts about this subject that go more in depth and posts about other topics. I write because I care and the Lord has told me to do so. Some people minister from a stage, mine is from my desk. I also care about those who will not step inside of a church fellowship building, but might search the internet for help. You might even be on the other side of the world. This blog can be translated in 42 languages at the click on a flag. I feel privileged that software exists so that language is not that much of a barrier. We all hurt. We all laugh. We are not that different from each other as a few would have us believe. Share your life and love with others no matter where you are and dare to make a difference. The biggest difference and blessing will be in your life. Just Keep Walking!
