What can we do when economies all over the world are in turmoil? No one seems to know the truth or even how to make things better. They have the best minds in the world trying to bring order to this chaos. The politicians are quick to point the finger, but no one is willing to tell what has really happened. Greed, pride and power has gotten in the way. Those in power have their hands wet and they don’t know what to do. They would rather keep it all hidden. Economies in Turmoil!

They say the housing industry was the first to suffer and maybe it was, but I believe it started a lot sooner than that. Greed is an unsatisfied entity. The more it gets, the more it wants and woe to those who are caught in its crosshairs. We live in a time and season where everything that has been done in secret is being shouted from the rooftops. There is a very interesting situation about the oil prices. Shortly after the housing industry went down, the price of oil began to rise. There were all sorts of reasons, mostly about demand, but there was one thing that caught my ear. They said there were hedge funds involved. What are hedge funds and why were they driving up our oil prices and hurting our economies? I think it is interesting to note that when oil prices started going back down drastically a lot of corporations immediately went belly up. But let’s go back to greed. It has an insatiable appetite and cannot be controlled. So where are we now?

We are now in this terrible blame game, yet none of these people cared when they were making money. Now they have to tread lightly, so the real truth doesn’t come out. They don’t want the truth to come out. However, the truth will come out and it will be shouted from the rooftops. What are we to do? How do we protect ourselves? How can we make it through?

There is only one I know who I trust. This is the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that His word is true. I know that He protects and delivers His people, those who trust and walk with Him. He has brought me through so many things and I am confident He will help me through everything. I am not perfect, but He is. I will listen to hear what He has to say and then I will do it. How can we make it through? We can, simply by humbling ourselves and following Him.

It doesn’t matter what country we are from, if we are His, we are all family. His love doesn’t know any bounds or borders. He has a plan for us. He knows how to keep us safe. He tells us not to worry.

Luke 12:2-12, There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.

I used to worry about these things. I had a hard time not worrying, but the more I walked with Him and the more He brought me through things, the less I worry. Faith grows just like a tree. It all starts small from a tiny seed, but over time as it is nourished, grows up like a giant tree. It grows one step at a time. If you don’t know Him, read this post of mine. It will help. Wars will keep on going. Disasters will keep happening in different places. Some will come near and others will be far away, but He will keep us. He is our peace. When the world is fearful, we are secure. We have the truth and we can stand firm. Where ever you are, you can know Him. Where ever you are, you can walk with Him. In whatever situation you are in, you can know Him. It’s not about what you give up. It’s all about what you gain. I don’t think it is much to give up hell and attain eternal life. Even if heaven didn’t exist, I have been truly blessed to have lived this life with Him. I can think of no better way to live. I love to see others smile. I love to see in their eyes that someone cares for them. Reach out and care and dare to be different. Don’t believe everything you hear. Check it out and see if there is any truth to it. Ask the Lord to make Himself real to you. He will. Get ready. Your life will never be the same.
