Is It Me?

One of the things Jesus dealt with during His earthly ministry was the spiritual realm. So what does that have to do with me? Everything, and also it has to do with those around us. Jesus could see in the spiritual realm. He knew when He was speaking to the person or when a demonic spirit was speaking through the person to Him. The disciples also knew. There are a lot of Christians who are familiar with this too as well as a lot of others. What about you?

Do you know the difference between your thoughts and someone else’s? Do you think every thought you hear? Did you catch that? Have you ever wondered, “Where did that thought come from? I don’t think that way!” Well guess what, there is more than one place they could have come from. We usually think thoughts that are familiar to us, things we’ve meditated on, books we’ve read, movies we’ve seen, songs we sing, etc. There are things we’ve carried from our childhood and among our friends that are very familiar to us. Then there are the words spoken by angels and the Lord Himself. Lastly, there are the words of demonic spirits.

How do you tell where a thought came from that is a familiar thought? Was it you or was it from something intending to keep or bring you down? Is there a certain area in your life where you just can’t seem to get the victory? Check it out a little closer and you might find that it isn’t all you and it might not be your fault. You do have enemies. Their sole purpose is to destroy God’s creation in any way they can.

Angels and demons are not all knowing. They can’t read our thoughts. They are powerful though and they operate in the spiritual realm where we usually can’t see them. They have an advantage over us and without the power of Holy Spirit to show us things we can be at their mercy. Thankfully, we can overcome them by knowing and speaking the truth, mainly to ourselves. Why would we keep thinking thoughts that are lies about us and others? You can become what you think and speak. Words and thoughts are very powerful. Words and thoughts make people do various things, some unthinkable and tragic and others very successful.

The best thing of all is that no matter where you are now, you can change everything through the power of Holy Spirit, your thoughts and your words. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Let it be new. Find the truth. Dare to admit you might be wrong. Ask for forgiveness if you need to, and then dare to chart your new course. Only you can keep you from finishing the race. Father created you for a wonderful purpose and destiny. Jesus died on the cross so you could be forgiven, obtain right standing with Father, and receive the power of Holy Spirit to finish the path and race before you. You don’t even have to go alone. He will walk with you and will never leave you alone. How can you not succeed? You have everything going for you, including the great cloud of witnesses who have lived their lives before you as a testimony. There are brothers and sisters all over the world who are on the same quest and are praying for you. Lift up your eyes and get them focused on Him and His greatness, not on you and your littleness. Walk, one step at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time until you get to the end. Live your life to its full and let others read about Him through your living book, one page at a time. I’ll see you there if I don’t get the chance to here. Be encouraged, my friend. Things can change in a moment. He is the best thing that has ever happened in my life.

Laugh At Yourself

Do you take yourself too seriously? Do you have to be right in everything you do? Are you stressed all the time? Are you at rest in who you are? Is life passing you by and you feel like you are on the sidelines? Laugh! Scripture says that the Lord sits in heaven and laughs at our enemies. What does this have to do with you? Everything!

Did you know that Jesus laughed a lot when He walked the earth 2000 years ago? When you truly know the One who has everything under His control, life doesn’t have to be so serious. Laughter is contagious. Laughter is healing to the soul. It is a medicine. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 15:15 (Amp) “All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].” Now, if this is the truth, and we know it is, then why don’t we do it more. The reason is religion, the devil and perfection. (Don’t believe me? That’s okay. I’ve been wrong before, but at least hear me out before you close out this page.)

First of all, religion is based upon rules and regulations and not on relationship. (This is my belief and the more I watch religious people the more I see this is true. They love to beat themselves up and most of the time they are their own worst enemy.) Secondly, the devil hates the Lord and His creation so he will do everything in his power to destroy it. He doesn’t like it when you laugh. You are supposed to be serious and stressed and totally committed, after all, he is. And last of all, there is the term perfection. I must be perfect and I must be right or no one will love me, especially the Lord. Rubbish!

Who cares? We do and too often, way too much. Who created laughter in the first place? I wish I were a comedian and I pray a lot to have the gift to make others laugh. I love to see people laugh. My wife can be talking about the most serious subject and all of a sudden people just start laughing. I have been the serious one, but I am working on it. There is nothing in my life or yours that is going to happen that the Lord doesn’t already know about. Not only does He know about it, but He also has a plan to get us through. Our choice, do we stress about it or can we laugh our way through it. Of course, depending on what IT is, we might not want to laugh tooooo LOUD out loud. Do you catch the spirit of what I am saying?

We are human. We make mistakes. Father knew that before He created us humans. So why do we try sooooooo hard to be robots? If He would have wanted perfect, robotic obedience, He would have made them from the start. Relax! Peace to you! Let His love fill you anew. Receive His anointing and be filled to overflowing and then let it pour out to those around you. Then fill up again and again. Be a conduit of His love and gifts. Share the laughter. Share your smiles. Others need to see His life in you and me. There is a time and place to be serious, but take advantage of the other times. Remember to reach out and hug others. Let them know you care. We don’t know if we will be here tomorrow or see them again, so this might be our only chance to let them know how we really feel.

Dare to live your life to its full. Dare to laugh and smile and play. Dare to look your mountains in the face and laugh because you know you already have the victory. Help someone else find theirs and share the victory with them. Do something new. God spoke the world into existence. Hear what He is saying to you and speak your world into existence. Let your life be changed and then help others also. Find the hidden paths of love. They are buried beneath the vines and thorns of hate, fear, stress, worry, anxiety, murder, depression, self-pity, loneliness, etc. Throw these things in the fire where they belong and clear a path large enough to invite others down this path too. You don’t need to be alone. Love attracts. Heres to your new life!

Joseph

I Am

I Am! What an amazing name. His Name means I Am now, in the present tense. I Am with you in your present situation. I will help you now. You are not alone for I am with you. If you can grasp this, it is one of the most powerful weapons you can ever use against the enemy, especially in times of loneliness, depression, despair, grief, etc.

John 18:4-6 - Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”

“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.

I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

John 8:58 - “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Revelation 1-8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Last night, as I laid down in bed, many negative thoughts started swarming around me. I had a wonderful and overcoming day and now the attack had come. Almost immediately, I heard Jesus speak His name, I Am. One of the thoughts went away like it had been shot with an arrow. Another one came and the name I Am was spoken again. Another thought was defeated. Of course, it didn’t take me long at all to catch on and I began meditating on His Name over and over again. It was like a shooting gallery. Each thought would come at me and with each mention of I Am it was destroyed. It didn’t take long at all and I was fast asleep.

After I had awakened this morning, I began to meditate on what had happened. We have been going through a time where many decisions need to be made. Most of these are major decisions and the timing is critical. It is very easy to look ahead and try to determine in my own mind what I need to do. In a way, I feel like Saul might have felt in 1 Samuel 13, as he waited for Samuel to come with the Word of the Lord. There is pressure all around to make the decision and yet there is a hesitancy in my spirit. What should I do Lord? I need to know what to do. You alone know the future, what is the best choice for us? Then I hear the name, I Am. “I Am here with you right now. I’ll give you what you need at the moment you need it.”

The thoughts of past mistakes loom around me. I don’t want to fail, again. I don’t dare listen to them, they will only bring me down. I can’t see ahead of me, so patiently I must wait. I must trust. He has never left me or forsaken me. He has brought us through each and every time. We have seen His miracles. We experience His presence. Encouragement comes as I meditate on who He is. I Am! We will wait until He speaks. Peace, what a place to be. Have we heard yet? No, but as Habakkuk had to wait in Hab. 2:1, so will I. What will He say?

My friend, you are not alone today. The economy is shaking. Things people have trusted in for so long are shaking. What is the truth? What is going to happen next? How will we do this? How will we do that? What is tomorrow going to be like? Will we be able to pay our bills? Who do you trust? Who do you listen to for advice? There is a way through victoriously, no matter what happens to others. Father knows you by name and He wants the best for you. You are not alone, in fact, you have the best company in the world. Take the time to hear what He has to say. I Am with you always!

Joseph

Beam Me Up

Beam me up God, it is really bad down here and it is only getting worse. Can’t you see what is going on? Where are you? Hey, how about some help down here? Have you ever felt like that? Are you feeling like that now? Are you so deep in despair that you can’t even see a way out? Are you thinking about turning to ways that will help you leave the planet?

Stop! You aren’t the only one and you are not alone. Look through the scriptures and you will see countless others that have been there too. Woe is me! If only I . . . Lord, You don’t understand.

You are in good company, Elijah, Jonah, Job, David, etc. Does it help to know others have been here too, especially the ones who have done great exploits in the Lord? Maybe so, maybe no! You are in a storm and you just want some peace and clarity. Hold on!

First! Realize and let this sink in deep. Meditate on it if you must. This is only temporary, it is not permanent. You have an enemy and he wants to get you out of the picture any way he can. He would really like you to end it yourself, because that would be the easiest thing for him. He knows that if you see the truth and walk in it, he will lose a lot more than you realize.

Second! You must understand that it isn’t personal. The enemy doesn’t care who you are, he just wants you dead. His vendetta is against God and His creation and he wants to wreak as much havoc as he can. Father loves you and that makes the enemy mad.

Third! You need to get out of yourself. Self-pity is a spirit and his strategy is to get you looking at yourself. That’s what happened with Jonah. Woe is me! Look at me! Well if you were . . . Do these arguments sound familiar? I’ve been there all too often.

Then the Lord says, “Are you finished yet?”

“What are you talking about?” I reply.

“Get your eyes on Me, Son. I am more than enough and I can help you, if you let Me,” He says.

Once I look up to Him, the storm starts to calm. As my focus stays on Him, more clarity comes to my mind. The thoughts that were pushing me down are now lost in His peace. The battle has been won even though the circumstances still remain. Now, I know that I am not alone in the fight. Greater is the strength welling up in me than any circumstance can resist. I know that I have already overcome. I don’t know how every thing will work out, but I am on the way. Not only am I on the way, but I am now encouraged and even joyful. Sometimes this process is instantaneous and sometimes it takes a while, but I have always come through.

Would it be easier to give up and die? Of course it would be. Would your destiny be fulfilled? No, it wouldn’t. Would you hear, “Well done, My good and faithful servant?” or would you hear something else?

I once saw a vision as I was in worship with Him. I saw myself on a desert walking in the hot, dry sand. Then, in the distance, I saw Jesus standing on a ridge. I started running towards Him with all of my might. I was thinking that this was going to be great. I was so happy. When I got closer to Him, I realized He was pointing to a place behind me. I stopped in my tracks and turned around. There were a multitude of people way back behind me. They were crying out. I had come from there, but I hadn’t seen them. He simply said, “Your work is not through here. This time you can’t come until you bring them with you.”

I sat down on the ground in dismay because I didn’t understand. The journey, up to now, had been difficult if not impossible. Why would He do that to me? Woe is me! Poor me! It was later that I began to understand that it isn’t about me. It is about them. I know Him. I have so much. I know His love, peace, grace, mercy, tenderness, and protection. They don’t. It is not fair to them. How will they know if I don’t tell and show them? By His great design and purpose, my anointing, experience and training is to reach a specific people and if I don’t, someone else will have to go in my place. Each one of us have a specific calling, purpose and path to walk. We don’t have the same relationships and personalities. Not everyone likes us individually. There can be two people who can tell the same story. One you will like and receive and the other you might not, strictly because of who they are or how they act. If the one you like doesn’t show up, will you be able to hear the other? This is not about pride. This is about His choice and His best for each person and situation. He cares enough to send the best. Here is my mission in life. When I meet Jesus, after my life here is finished, I want to hear these words from Him. “Well done, My good and faithful servant.” This, to me, is success and will make my life here worthwhile.

I was talking to Him the other day and He made this even clearer in my mind. I remembered a scripture about Ezekiel in Ezekiel chapters 2 & 3. He had given me these words years ago and now I was being reminded again. He said that when we end our lives prematurely, we also short-circuit our destiny and His plans for us. There is a much greater purpose for our lives than we can possibly imagine here on earth. The trials and tribulations that come our way are only meant to strengthen us if we’ll let them. They are like lifting weights at the gym to strengthen our physical bodies. When our lives end prematurely, so do the relationships that would develop if we had remained. Those who would have heard the good news or would have been changed because of us, might not ever be. That might have been the time their lives could have been changed for the good. Would that be fair to them? Jesus gave His life for us, shouldn’t we do the same for others. Is it really that bad, that with His help and others that we can’t make it just one more day? One day at a time. Just one more day. Did you get it?

My friend, don’t give up. Heaven may not need you yet, but people here certainly do. Your life is a testament. Everyday someone reads your book, even if you never say a word. Actions speak louder than words. They are watching you. They need to see hope. How will you overcome your situation? They need to know that it can be done. Can you hear the cry? Will you answer like so many before? “Here I am, Lord! Send me!” I hope this helps. May you have a wonderful day and a blessed life. May you also here the words, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.” Let someone know you care.

Floods #2

The Fellowship of the Believers

Acts 2:42-47 - They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

What an awesome way to live. What a prototype of the Lord’s Kingdom. In our day they might call this a cult, how sad! So how do we live as the body of Christ in our present day? I think we can by using a great amount of wisdom and of course His anointing.

I believe that we can start by working together in areas of our influence. The shift that needs to take place is one from the standards of modern day business. Corporate business practices do not line up to the Lord’s way of doing business. A corporation’s main goal is to be profitable, while the goal of kingdom business is to make a difference. Someone has to stand up and provide the prototype. Jesus is our example, who is going to let Him be the example through them?

Do you have a business idea or invention from the Lord? Is it going to take more money and people than you have? Maybe, just maybe there is a different way to do it. The Lord gives dreams and visions and He also has a way to bring them forth. Find the people He would have you work with. Don’t sell His ideas to the highest bidder for your own personal gain. His businesses and inventions are for His people. He wants us to prosper. He wants us to reach out to a lost and dying world so that they might have hope. He might want you to stand before kings and rulers to share His love. No one else has the answers. Deep inside they are hoping that maybe someone might be able to help even if they aren’t voicing it.

People are not only starving for food, they are starving for His Word. Where is the encouragement? Where is the help in a time of need? Why do business owners jump off of their buildings when they go bankrupt instead of bowing their knees in surrender to their loving Lord who only wants to see them healed and loved? They don’t know. They haven’t seen. They haven’t heard.

Here am I, Lord, send me. Can you say this to Him? Will you choose to lay down your dreams and desires and let Him live through you. The harvest is everywhere you look. People are hungry for the truth and they are dying without it. You don’t need to preach, simply live. Share your smiles with everyone and take the time to see if there might be an opening for more. Does the person respond, if so, maybe they are open to feel His love. Seeing someone hungry for tenderness and not giving it is the same as seeing someone starving for food and not giving it. The disciples of Jesus were first called Christians by the Ephesians because they were Christ-like. They didn’t call themselves Christians. They were known by their love and life. We would do well to do the same.

We have the ability to make a difference. We can farm land organically and the way scripture dictates. We can sell good food that helps heal the body, make a profit and distribute it at a more than fair price. We can operate businesses without all the stress and unfairness to employees. People will be knocking down the doors to want to work for us. They will want to do business with us because we can do what we say we can and they know that they matter to us. We can do it. We are not alone and we are anointed. We can get healed of past experiences, join together and change the world. Love, peace, joy, grace, mercy, loving kindness can be extended to others. How do you think they will respond? Don’t you think it might just make a difference? Don’t you think it might be important?

My friends, I have chosen to walk down this path of life. I am sure there will be bumps in the road. If you would like to to go this way, let me know. I don’t know how it will all come together but we are taking the first steps. I see the first part of the vision and I see a prototype, but there are many steps in between. Here’s to the journey. May you have a wonderful day today. Please use the form on the contact page to contact us.

Floods

Floods! I keep having recurring dreams of floods in different places. I have been meditating on this for a while now and believe that now is a good time to share. In the last week I have heard some disturbing prophecies about a coming collapse or at a minimum hard times for America.

As I lay awake in bed about 2:00 o’clock this morning after this last dream, all of these things started coming into my thoughts. The dream this morning was different in that it was an angel walking with me to scope out the flood situation. What did it mean? Is there any relevance to present events in the world? These were my thoughts and it was a long time before I was able to get back to sleep. Here are some of my thoughts concerning this:

Floods can be in the physical world and/or they can be emotional and spiritual. I have looked at our economy lately and as I have been in and around corporate America, I have noticed that we are in an extreme situation. There are a lot of our people who do not want to work. Some have become so entertainment conscious that they simply just don’t care. Others have gone after the almighty dollar in any way they can and are literally crushing people under their schemes. As a whole, we no longer have the desire to overcome the things that are eating at this nation. Not only have we lost sight of who we are, but through the media we no longer know what’s true. This leads to lawlessness and everyone doing what is right in their own eyes.

I have heard a lot of preaching on hell, fire, and brimstone. Some have tried to instill fear to try to change others. This is not the way of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am not saying that there isn’t truth to these preachings, however I am saying that preaching fear is not the best way to go about it. Think about the story of the man wearing a coat, the wind and the sun. The sun and wind tried to prove who was the strongest. The wind tried to blow the coat off of the man, but the man only held on tighter. The sun simply came out from behind the clouds, warmed things up and the man took off his coat. Love or Fear! (I also have another post I recently wrote concerning this subject. Check it out for more in depth study.)

In the floods in my dreams I was walking around and helping others when I could. I noticed the flood didn’t have any impact on my life and neither was there any fear. I believe that this is how it will be for those who have a relationship with the Lord and walk with Him everyday. The floods are coming. There is going to be more turmoil in the marketplace. Things people have trusted in simply won’t work anymore. All the marketing skills and trends won’t overcome this. Companies are going to vanish during this time and some of them are very large. Our economy is being absorbed by the world economy. No one knows how this is going to affect them. Jobs are being lost overseas to other countries. There is a quaking going on in the financial world and who knows how things will end. So what do we do here? Does anyone know the answer?

I do know the One who knows everything and others know Him too. He didn’t come into the world to condemn us, we were already condemned, but rather He came to save us. He cares about you. He saw you while He was on the cross and He did it for you. He loves you and He would like you to get to know Him. He is Love, true Love, not a human definition of love. There are many who would like to give Him a bad name to keep you away from Him.

Love! How do you get to know someone intimately? Think about dating someone you really like. How do you do it? You have a starting point and if all goes well, you continue on. It is a relationship based on love and not fear. Who is this other person? What are they really like? I know what others have said about this person, but I really need to know myself, especially if I plan on spending a lot of time with this person and giving them a portion of my heart.

This is the way it is with the Lord Jesus Christ, one step at a time. You’ll find yourself on a journey you never thought possible. The troubles of this world simply vanish in His presence. You will find a new way to live, high above the stress and worries you now have. He has the answers for you. He knows you by name and he has seen everything you have been through.

Now, imagine yourself walking with Him in the coming days. Imagine knowing what to do with your life everyday, knowing who to talk too, what is important and what is a distraction. What if you could make every moment count and you could see lives changed for the good? How would that make you feel? What if the rest of the world were stressed but His people weren’t? What if His ways became the new way and all of a sudden His people were being sought for the answers to the world’s problems? The world could change and peace could come. Jesus will come again and set up His Kingdom on the earth. How will He do it? Lots of people have their opinions. They had figured out how He was going to come the first time and they missed it. All I know is that if we are ready and walking with Him, we will be in on what He is doing.

I will continue with this as I get more. My prayer for you is that you have a relationship with Him. I desire for you to find the reason you are here and to live your life to its full. Bless you today and may you experience His presence, peace, love, grace, mercy, tenderness and loving kindness. Have a great and wonderful day and remember to pass it on.

Reality?

Reality? Whose Reality? What does it have to do with me? Everything!

This word really gets my attention and even more so here lately. We hear all kinds of stories on the news everyday and we know that they can’t all be true. I understand that there are those who promote lies to further their own cause, but for the sake of this post I am not including these.

What is reality? Wikipedia puts it this way, “the state of things as they actually exist.” Merriam-Webster shows one definition as, “a real event, entity, or state of affairs.”I think this goes a bit further than just the definition. Whose reality are we talking about? We have all heard the story about traffic accidents and the fact that if you have three witnesses to the accident each will have their own story about how it happened. Now the accident, in general, is reality. It happened and there was a certain chain of events that led up to it. In each witness’ mind it was also a reality. Where each person’s reality is different has to do with their state of mind before, during and after the accident. What were they thinking? How do they relate to each of the victims? How do they respond to tragedy? Was there anything similar that happened in their past and on and on and on?

As we read over each witness’ account we discover that their story is different from each other. They might have even been standing next to each other. This is their reality. Is it wrong? Is it the truth? A person’s reality doesn’t have anything to do with the actual truth, but it is a collection of the real event mixed with their emotions and judgments.

Okay, so where am I going with this? I try to live my life by giving people the benefit of the doubt. I believe that people change everyday. If I judge them tomorrow by what I have observed today, I leave myself open to be wrong. First of all, I must understand that what I observed might not have been the total truth. The facts are mixed with my emotions and judgments. Secondly, I might have only seen a part of the total story so therefore, my observation wouldn’t be complete.

So, what do I do? I must rely on the Lord to lead and guide me each day. There is so much coming through the media that we don’t know which story is truth, but there is someone Who does. He knows what is going to happen before it happens. He knows the truth behind every situation and circumstance. He will lead us through each and every day. Quite frankly, I don’t need to address every single thing that comes my way. Most are distractions anyway and it wouldn’t make any difference if I spent any time on it or not. I believe, more than ever before, we need to focus on the things that are really important.

People can change. People change when they feel loved and cared for. Even if they are guilty, they can change. I am not saying they shouldn’t be held to account, but they should be given the right to change and lead a different life. The Lord has a path for each of us to walk. He is the One we are ultimately accountable to. Don’t get caught up in the many voices in the wind. Don’t get distracted. Take time to hear Him and then simply obey. Walk in His peace, love, joy, grace, mercy and loving kindness. If we focus on Him, we will be doing the things and walking in the only reality that is going to matter anyway.

Give out your smiles today. Watch others change before your eyes. Help someone even if it’s just to open a door. People, now more than ever, need to feel your love. We live in a society that teaches independence, but we are a people who are interdependent on each other. We need the hugs. We need to be loved. We need to be heard. The best way to get these is to start giving them. Have a great and wonderful day and life. Jesus is worthy to be praised. His way is true freedom, not religion but a way of life.

Joseph

P.S. Please remember that these are my thoughts and opinions and it is my desire to simply point out some things that might encourage you. If you find something that doesn’t agree with you, please put it on a shelf. It is not my intent to have to be right and to dot every “i” and cross every “t”. It is my intent to share with you that which I have discovered with the hope that somehow it might bring encouragement and strength. Feel free to share your comments. Heb. 10: 25, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

A Fork In The Road

Are you at a crossroad? Are you finding yourself unsatisfied where you are? Have you had enough of the status quo and want to do something new? Are you in a place of necessity and need to make a change? Whatever the reason, now is a good time to refresh your compass.

Take some time and spend it with the Lord. You don’t have to necessarily say much at all. Sometimes simply being in His presence can refresh you. I love to sing to Him and of course it helps that I can play instruments to help me sing. It helps me to get my whole being involved in being near Him. This helps to lift my spirit and energize me as well as bring peace to my soul. The thoughts that were plaguing me before are now either long forgotten or they don’t have the power they once had. I am now more focused and my priorities are much clearer.

But what about that crossroad? Sometimes we get to walking along a path and become oblivious to the changes that are happening around us. Some relationships change over a period of time and it becomes time to move on. It is the same with locations and jobs. I believe that we can get lulled to sleep if there is too much repetition. We need to wake up. We need to smell the flowers, listen to the birds, see the sunrises and sunsets. Sometimes the next part of our journey takes a different path from those around us. The journey becomes lonely for a while and it may be uncomfortable, but it is necessary for us to get to the next place.

One thing that helps me in this time is wondering who I will get to meet next. What kind of relationships will form? Will I find some more friends? Maybe something exciting will happen and I will have the privilege to be a part of it. What place in history will I have the chance to be a part of? Who might I be able to help and conversely, who might help me?

Every once in a while it is good to have our compass refreshed. Comfort can be like a magnet and make it function incorrectly. Be encouraged today. Get up and get back on course if you are off course. Dare to journey again. Dare to be a pioneer. Dare to be a part of the new thing the Lord is doing today. Take time to hear and then obey. A fork in the road, take the road you need to take.
