Part 1 - Have you ever done one of those things that you weren’t going to do? Have you ever wondered why you did?

It is quite possible you were locked into a judgment or vow. What do you mean, you might ask?

I believe that our life, that is our soul, is like a garden. It can be beautiful and wonderful to look at and enjoy, or it can be full of thorns and briers and just plain ugly and full of death. So, what do others see when they look at your garden?

We reap what we sow into our garden. In the natural, if we plant a flower seed we get a flower plant. If we plant a thorn bush seed, we get a thorn bush. It’s the same with our mind. Our garden is a combination of what we choose to allow to be planted in our minds. Negative thoughts, hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, vows and the likes can spoil and overrun our garden if we let it. Chances are we have some of these plants in our gardens.

Imagine a garden wall made of stone and steel that surrounds an area of ground. It is well guarded and protected. Now imagine that somewhere in the midst of that garden are delicate and beautiful flowering plants, but no one else can see them for all the overgrowth, vines and thorn bushes that cover every inch of the garden. Yet, we know, we really do, that there is some goodness there. It’s just under all of that other stuff. The question is, how do we get others to see the real goodness and love that is there? Are you feeling a tug in your heart? Have I touched something that makes you say, “Yes, I know that feeling?” Well, the good news is that you are not alone. Everyone has a least one of those areas in their garden. It might not be as large as some, but there are places we don’t want anyone to touch. It’s just not safe.

Now, the next question is, “Do we like being this way?” or “Do we want to change?” Now, if we want to stay this way, we might as well stop reading now. Everything, I share from this point on, is for those of us who want to change. We don’t like what we see and are making a determined effort to do what it takes to change.

First of all, we need to determine what the source of all these seeds are. Notice, there are good seeds and there are bad seeds. Jesus spoke a lot about good and bad seeds. There is a scripture that says something like this, “Every good and perfect gift comes from our Heavenly Father.” On the flip side of this is that every bad seed and gift must come from the enemy of our souls. Who is this enemy? He is the devil. Does this make sense?

Secondly, we are all given the right to make choices with our lives. Do you agree? Now if you make the choice to jump off of a 500 foot cliff onto the rocks below, what will happen to you? Death, right? Who do you think you might have been listening to, if you jumped off of the cliff? Do you think you might have had to choose between at least two choices? One voice or thought might have been, “Don’t jump, I love you and I care about you.” The other voice or thought might have been, “No one cares about you, go ahead and get it over. There will be no more pain.” Who will you listen too?

Destiny - Yours?

What is your purpose and destiny in life? Have you ever taken the time to think about it or do you think you are stuck in a place in your life that you will never get out of? Do you feel hopeless and locked in to a life that isn’t yours to live?

I just want to tell you that it’s not too late to find your destiny and purpose in this life. Father saw you before He created you. His Word says that you are beautifully and wonderfully made. He designed you with a purpose. He gave you certain gifts and talents.

Now, the world would like to tell you otherwise. It needs people to fit its mold for it to survive. But God destroyed the mold when he made you. There isn’t anyone else like you and you are precious in His sight. You have a name and Jesus knows you by name. The world only knows you by a number.

You can find your place in life. We have created a short questionnaire to help you answer some of the questions deep inside. Please visit our web page at http://www.destinypathoflife.com/questionnaire.html/

If you need any help, please email us by using the form on the contact us page. We care about you.

Enjoy your life. Live it to its full. May the Lord open your understanding as you get closer to Him. May you find the truth you are looking for. May you live your life in the blessings of His grace, mercy, love, peace and truth.

Who do you trust?

Interesting question! I don’t think it has ever been more used than in this generation. Just who can you trust? In an age where everyone is taught to look out for themselves, how do you find some one who is interested in you with no ulterior motives?

There is only one person that I know that I can trust in every situation. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only One I can trust with my life. There are some others that are close to me who I can trust in varying degrees. Jesus knew what was in the heart of man when He walked the earth. He even spoke about it.

There is one big problem with putting our total trust in someone else and that is the fact that they are human and fallible. It doesn’t matter how well meaning they are or how much they love you, they are going to let you down. This is a truth that we need to not only accept, but expect it. My wife and I made an agreement with each other when we got married, that if one of us decided to go another way, the other one was free to continue on with the Lord’s purpose and direction for their life. Of course, we also expect that since He put us together, He will help us through all situations and circumstances.

Another problem, we have as humans, is that we place a lot of expectations on those we love and if they don’t do what we expect them to do, we get upset. Whose fault is this? Who do we usually blame? Right!

What about going to the church to find someone you can trust? Even though this is a great starting place, not everyone there even loves the Lord. The church is like a big hospital and not every one there is well. Also, the enemy sends in his people to stir things up and hurt people. The more whole a person is, the more safe they are to be around. What are the requirements for a person being whole, you ask? This is someone who has given their life to the Lord, for Him to do with and use them as He desires. They have given Him their fears, hurts, wounds, short-comings, hatred, etc. and He has healed all these areas. The more we give over to Him and the more we get healed, the more we are able to love and understand those around us. The more we rely on Him, the less we rely on ourselves and the less likely we will have ulterior motives.

Where do you find these people? Start by becoming one. Choose to give your life to the Lord. Accept His plan and purpose for your life. When He shows you things in your life that are not right, turn away from them and ask him to heal you. Ask Him to forgive you for all your sins. Forgive others for the things they’ve done against you or someone you love. As you begin to walk with Him, He will show you the things you need to know. You will be able to see those you can trust, those you need to stay away from and those you need to guard yourself when you are around them. Walk with Him as a small child walks with a loving father. Always believing, always trusting, always safe and secure, and always knowing they are loved. It’s simple. I didn’t say it was easy. You have to lay down your life to find it. Only the One, who created you, knows what your true destiny and purpose are. Why would you trust someone else to reveal it to you?

Above all, be the person you were created to be and then help others to get there also. You will be the most fulfilled person on the earth and then all those other things that seemed to bother you before will only be a distant memory.

Have a great and wonderful day. May the Lord go before and prepare your path. May you find someone to bless today, even if it’s only a smile. May the blessings of the Lord overtake you and lift you up. May you walk in His mercy, peace, love and grace always.

Not Enough Time

Have you ever felt like the whole world is crashing in on you? There isn’t enough time to do everything. Have you made more commitments than can possibly fulfill?

Our economy is built upon impulse buying. Advertisers know this and are good at it. Most people, if given the time to make a good decision, wouldn’t buy a lot of the things they do. This also applies to the groups and programs we join. Why do we do it?

There are a number of reasons and I would think that most of them were good at the time. But, now that we take a moment and look back, we wonder why we did. There is an old saying that goes something like this, “We usually don’t have enough time to do something right, but we always have time to redo it.” I believe that this also applies to other areas of our lives.

Do we ever have time to just sit back, rest and meditate, or do we occupy every waking moment with music or some other activity? Does the Lord ever get any of our thoughts? How long do the results of any of our activities last? Will there be fruits from it in the future or is it just a waste of energy? What will the world remember about us after we are gone? Our families? Our friends? Our acquaintances?

If we are not careful, we will find ourselves getting lost in the rat race of humanity, without purpose and without a destiny, always grasping for the next straw that comes our way. But, how do we know what it is we are supposed to do? There is only One Who can show us, but if we can’t hear Him we won’t ever know.

Purpose within your heart to take a few moments, here and there, throughout each day. Spend these times meditating and asking the Lord questions, anything. Then listen and listen again and again all throughout the day. Gradually, things will begin to change. Your life will take a different direction. You will find you will have more time to do the things that are really important. Find out what are the important things in your life, what really matters. Then, start to do them and stop doing the other things. Soon your life will have a new meaning and you will be filled with more joy.

May you have a wonderful day, blessed by the Lord. Grace, peace, mercy and love to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
